BSI Signs Collaborative Agreement with Stelis to develop BMP/growth factor loaded scaffolds for future
Bio-scaffold International Pte Ltd signed a collaborative agreement with Stelis Biopharma, a unit of Stride Arcolab India listed in India. The collaboration is to jointly develop BMP (Bone Morphogenetic Protein) and Growth factor loaded scaffolds for expanded applications in Orthopedics, Cosmetology and Dentistry. Scientists from Stelis and BSI have developed a framework for initial research collaboration which would include working on multiple areas such as BMP-2/7 heterodimer loaded scaffold for orthopaedic applications and BMP2/ BMP7 loaded scaffolds for spinal fusion etc. Dr. Anand Iyer (CEO of Stelis) and Dr.Chandrasekaran (CEO & Chief Scientist, Bio-scaffold International Pte Ltd) strongly feel that this joint collaboration would help harness the synergies of the two companies in advancing the development of novel 3D printed devices for effectively treating various conditions in the orthopaedic, orthodontic oral/ maxillofacial and plastic/ reconstructive arena. http://www.dental-tribune.com/articles/business/asiapacific/15514_asian_biomedical_companies_combine_research_activities.html http://www.pharmabiz.com/PrintArticle.aspx?aid=78340&sid=2 http://www.odtmag.com/news/2013/11/05/stelis_biopharma_partners_with_bio-scaffold_international_for_3-d_printing_device [...]Ask Doctor Bone: http://www.bio-scaffold.com
